The Project

Otto Cars operate car Leasing and ‘Rent to Buy’ schemes across the UK, with a rich history of supplying cars to the minicab industry a new website was required to launch their new brand identity.

The Requirement

The site receives traffic from many different visitors, who all arrive seeking information to meet their exact needs. The website design needed to appeal to not only minicab drivers but anyone who is considering changing their vehicle with a focus on new regulations coming into place throughout London and across the UK.

Why WordPress?

This project was ideally suited as a WordPress CMS project; it was the obvious choice for this project as it’s the best in class Content Management System for SMEs. The ability to create additional vehicles and pages was vital in this project. The WordPress Website Design also needed to be simple to use for the marketing team at Otto.

The Obstacles

CodeAddicts conducted a series of UX workshops with Otto Car, to ensure that the site would appeal to the various customer personas, and to ensure the new site would appeal to all relevent parties.

The Solution

Several page templates were created based on the defined user journeys, and then a custom theme based on these templates was created. We developed several custom WordPress Plugins and Widgets to make sure the theme worked for Otto Cars, including a custom vehicle listing plugin.

We developed a new theme, which significantly improved the User Experience of the site and the various custom user roles make it much easier for Otto Cars to manage them internally. The new design layout is also far more intuitive for users to navigate, and the site is now responsive across all mobile devices.
